The Hood Hippie
Before we get into today’s fashion, let’s delve into what a Hippie is. A Hippie is a person, especially of the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc.
Hippies were societies divergents and misfits. I believe Hippies in the 60s lived the way life was intended to be lived….FREE. I’m from the hood tho and I’m an 80’s baby but Today I wanted to channel my inner Hood Hippie. I am a Hippie of sorts, a modernized Hipster. I believe in those core values. And if I could go back to the Woodstock days in the 60’s listening to good tunes, in the grass, smoking pot, dancing, feeling good, wearing flowers in my hair, having conspiracy theory conversations and just being free…awww man I would’ve been in heaven. True Nirvana. All things I could do now, it’s just a different day and time.
I ❤️ the colors of this tie dye outfit. The nuetral of the bodysuit contrasting the busy of the tie dye. I Got the headband believe it or not, from Dollar tree while shopping for household items, and it matched an outfit I previously had. I love my tie dye Crocs and they are so comfortable. Bright colors make me feel alive and vibrant. Don’t allow a cloudy day to make you feel blue, try draping yourself in a brighter hue.
I definitely was feeling Groovy
Are you a Hippie at heart ? What about back in the days ? Do Hippies still exist? If so where do they gather? So many questions. Google has the the answers right? Well hey, if you are feeling Groovy with me and think the hood hippie fit of the day is pretty cool, Feel free to leave a comment or a like…I appreciate those. Until next time… Smell a wildflower. 💐
